(Sheffield, 19 October 2015) Fresh on the heels of their success earlier this year at the European Brass Band Championships in Germany, Black Dyke Band will be returning to Sheffield.
Sheffield Citadel Salvation Army is pleased to announce they will once again be hosting Black Dyke Band at their church on Psalter Lane. Keith Wileman, Sheffield Citadel Bandmaster, commented; “We have been privileged to host the band for the past 3 years and are delighted that they have agreed to join us again this month. As one of the oldest and best-known brass bands in the world, with over 150 years of rich musical history, we know that this will be an excellent evening and one that all band enthusiasts will enjoy.”
The concert will take place on Thursday 22nd October at 7.30pm when the audience will be treated to an excellent evening of some of the finest brass band music. About Black Dyke Band
The Band has won many prizes and competitions over the years. In 2014 the Band won the National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain for a record 23rd time and the British Open Championship for another record 30th time. They have also won the European Championships a record twelve times, most recently in 2012
